Tour de France Stage 8 Saturday, July 11 2009
Andorre-la-Vieille – Saint-Girons176.5 km

The Pyrenean stages continue with a 176km-ride from the Principality (I still don’t really understand what a principality is) of Andorra to Saint-Girons, back in France. Three climbs are on the menu: the Port d’Envalira (23.2km at 5.1 percent) early in the stage in fact straight from the off, the Col de Port (11.4 km at 5.5 percent) mid-way and the Col d’Agnès (12.4 km at 6.5 percent) some 44 km before the finish in the valley.

What’s best is that I have absolutely nothing to do tomorrow apart from ride my bike and then watch the tour. VIVA LA TOUR
