Favourite bikes of the PRO Peleton by Brent Backhouse

Today’s choice of PRO bike comes from my great friend Brent over in New Zealand. Brent’s bike is Michele Bartoli’s Colnago CT1 which he rode during the 2000 Tour de France and at the San Sebastian Classic. According to Brent, rumour has it that Ernesto developed the frame especially for Bartoli as he wanted a frame that suited his attacking riding style. The main triangle was titanium and the seat stays were carbon. Most of the Mapei team were riding carbon C40’s at the time in racing and the Dream model (in aluminum) for training, only Bartoli had this special bike.
